anon all imma tell you is a friend of mine shared their opinion that a female character was written badly because she exists almost exclusively to be a male protagonist’s love interest.

but she’s got a less than favorable attitude and she’s a victim of trauma, therefore this character must be perfect and it doesn’t at all matter that her writer has a history of sexualising female trauma, right?

so this friend gets death threats and anons saying “i hope you get r***d every day so you know what it feels like.”

it’s inexcusable behavior no matter what, but it absolutely makes me livid that it comes from someone who is actually shitty enough a person to think wishing that upon someone is the moral high ground over a fucking fictional character.
